Home remedies for measles

Measles is a highly contagious viral infection that can cause fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, & a rash all over the body.

While there is no specific cure for measles, there are some home remedies that may help alleviate symptoms & promote recovery. 

Vitamin A: Studies have shown that vitamin A can help boost the immune system and reduce the severity of measles symptoms. 

Foods rich in vitamin A include carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, & kale. 

Vitamin C: Vitamin C can help boost the immune system & reduce inflammation. Foods rich in vitamin C include citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, & broccoli.

Turmeric: Turmeric contains curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Honey: Honey has antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties that may help relieve cough & soothe a sore throat.

You can take echinacea supplements or drink echinacea tea. Rest & hydration: Getting plenty of rest & drinking lots of fluids, such as water, herbal tea, can help your body fight off the virus.
