Home Remedies for respiratory problems?

There are several home remedies that may help alleviate respiratory problems in humans.

Steam inhalation: Inhaling steam can help loosen mucus and relieve congestion in the respiratory tract. 

You can do this by boiling water & placing it in a bowl. Lean over the bowl & cover your head with a towel to trap the steam.

Saltwater gargling: Gargling with salt water can help soothe a sore throat & reduce inflammation.

Mix a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water & gargle several times a day.

Honey & lemon: Mix a tablespoon of honey & a tablespoon of lemon juice in a glass of warm water. This can help soothe a cough & relieve sore throat.

Ginger tea: Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties & can help reduce congestion. 

Boil sliced ginger in water for 10 minutes & add honey or lemon for taste.

Eucalyptus oil: Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to a bowl of hot water & inhale the steam. This can help relieve congestion & cough.
